Since ballooning is a fair weather activity it is best to book your flight for a date during the first part of your visit. This way, in the disappointing event that your flight is weathered out (cancelled due to weather) there are other opportunities to reschedule before your return home. Bookings may be made from three months in advance to three hours in advance, but we always appreciate advance notice.
If you know well in advance, the specific date on which you would like to fly it is a good idea to reserve that date now to ensure your place (first come first served). Now if you happen to be the more spontaneous type we will always do our best to accomodate last minute reservations.
Prices
“Views of Vermont” $265 per person - On this flight you will discover all the spectacular sights that Vermont has to offer. No two flights are alike but on a “typical flight” we’ll drift over the rolling foothills of the stoic Green Mountains with the sparkling shores of Lake Champlain and the majestic Adirondacks in view to the west. Make sure to keep a watchful eye for such animals as White Tailed deer, Grey Hawks, busy beavers, Blue Herons, black bears, wild turkeys, and the ever elusive moose. We might catch a glimpse of our colorful reflection in a mountain stream or pond. Landings can bring us to a variety of destinations including but not limited to: backyard BBQs, cow pastures, city streets, neighborhood cul-de-sacs, open parking lots, or even the taxi way at Burlington International Airport (don’t worry we’re in contact with the control tower AND have the right-of-way). Some of our flights have concluded with personal tours of working Vermont farmhouses, being greeted by a playground full of amazed school children, and even being invited onto a porch to drink our champagne out of the land owner’s finest crystal. So come along for the ride of a lifetime.
“Vermont Foliage Flight ” (Available in October Only) $285 per person - This flight is the October version of the Views of Vermont Flight. Enjoy peak Vermont foliage from above reality! Breathtaking vistas to excite your senses and spirit are plentiful on this flight and all the details of the above flight are included, too. After the flight taste some of Vermont's freshest apple cider and sharp cheddar cheese.
“High Altitude Mile High Club” $300 per person - Reach a guaranteed height of at least 5,280 feet above the ground! You’ll be able to look down on the highest peak in Vermont. Take in ALL of the breathtaking scenery as we gently and gradually descend back down to tree top level. Includes all of the great scenery described in the Views of Vermont flight!
“Over the Mountain” $450 per person – Soar over Mt. Mansfield, our highest
peak, and discover what the next valley (usually Stowe) has to offer. This flight usually involves altitudes over 1 mile high, when on a clear day it is possible to see into Canada. Special weather conditions required.
“Lake Champlain Traverse” $600 per person – Sail from New York to Vermont - (but not in a boat). We’ll cross over picturesque Lake Champlain via the ferry and then drift above Vermont’s largest body of water as our ground crew gets on the ferry to greet us back in Vermont. Once we’ve touched down back in the Green Mountain Sate we’ll grab a hearty balloonists’ breakfast. Special wind conditions required. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
“Exclusive” Flights – while we believe that the old adage “the more the merrier” is true with ballooning we do provide exclusive, private flights. If you’d like have the basket all to yourself (plus the pilot of course) you can schedule an exclusive flight. These are available Monday through Thursday for $1,250 per couple. Friday through Sunday the cost is $2,000 per couple.
Flight duration is approximately 1 hour. Higher altitude flights may require addition flight time. All flights conclude with a champagne toast, Cabot cheddar cheese and crackers, and Vermont made fudge.

Reservations/Billing
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
This section discusses FEES that YOU may have to pay if you fail to show up as scheduled, arrive late, or cancel inside 48 hours of your flight.
Flight reservations are confirmed with a valid credit card number or advance payment in full. Payments by credit card will not be charged until after your flight. HOWEVER, if you fail to show up as scheduled, arrive late for your flight, or cancel inside of 48 hours you will still be charged full price for all scheduled passengers on your reservation. Arriving late can cause us to miss the time window for a safe balloon flight. So for safety's sake and for the sake of your wallet, please show up on time. ALL DECISIONS TO FLY OR NOT TO FLY WILL BE MADE BY THE PILOT AND ARE FINAL. Please understand this is a saftey issue.
To cancel a reservation and avoid being charged you must notify Above Reality Inc. by telephone at least 48 hours prior to your flight.

Need an extraordinary gift for that special person in your life? Looking for a unique gift for the person who has everything? Look no further! A balloon ride from Above Reality Inc. will never "let you down." A gift "Soar"-tificate, as we refer to them, can be purchased right over the phone and be delivered to you or directly to the fortunate recipient(s).
To redeem a gift certificate the holder MUST have a confirmed reservation. Booking this is as easy as selecting a date and time (sunrise or sunset) for the flight and then calling and giving your certificate number. The certificate number is what actually makes the reservation complete. Once a reservation is made with a gift certificate number it is IMPORTANT to understand that failing to show up as scheduled, arriving late, or canceling within 48 hours of your scheduled flight will result in forfeiture of the gift certificate with out a refund. Basically, once you have booked a reservation we treat it just as we would treat a passenger who had booked a flight by credit card (except in this case you have a certificate and a number instead of a card and a number). The simple version of this of this translates to: make a reservation, arrive on time for the flight, have a great time! If you would like more information on the cancellation policy please see above information on billing. Please ask any questions about the cancellation policy before buying a certificate, we will be happy to answer them. We ask that soar-tificate holders redeem their flight with in one year from the date of purchase.
If the recipient of a certificate does not wish to use it, the certificate is 100% transferable to another individual (or couple depending on how many passengers the certificate was purchased for). Soar-tificates are non-refundable after 7 days from the date of purchase.
